PROJECTS IN ACTION
"SCHOOL FOR LIFE" PROJECT (currently made in the schools of Milan)
Verrà riattivato nel corso del 2025 — The "School for life" project aims to follow and help children in difficulty in school – especially pupils with social problems- economic and family, pupils from immigrant families, pupils with psychological problems – starting from primary school up to the conclusion of the school path and entry to the University or to work.
As part of the project, the following activities are carried out:
- free private lessons in subjects in which pupils show difficulties;
- listening and psychological support to address the difficulties that pupils detect in school and daily life;
- photography workshops to promote knowledge of the territory and feeling of belonging.
With this project, boys and girls receive support and accompaniment, as long as they deem it appropriate and until their active inclusion in society.
The project was sponsored by the Town Hall 9 of the Municipality of Milan, for the school years 2016/2017 e 2017/2018.
In the school year 2016/2017 the project was carried out in partnership with Rires, association that refers to the Department of Psychology of the Catholic University of Milan. Participated 2 middle School: Via Maffucci middle school 60 and Falcone – Borsellino middle school in Viale Sarca 24.
In the school year 2017/2018 the project was carried out in partnership with the chair of intercultural pedagogy of the Bicocca University. A new Institute has been added as a participant, the professional Marelli of Via Livigno – Milan. The project has seen an exponential growth of the participating pupils, up to almost triple the number of the previous year.
PARTNERSHIP AND SUPPORT PROJECT FOR “SEDINA LIMAMOU LAYE” HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (SENEGAL)
The context
Il Liceo Limamou Laye, located on the outskirts of Dakar, is historically established in the world of education in Senegal and is attended by approx 13.000 students, many of whom are in financial difficulty, familiari e sociali.
From beyond 15 years, EURIDIT operates in this large institution with modest but appreciated interventions, and in support of learning the Italian language and culture, and by giving financial support to keep particularly disadvantaged young people in education.
Scholarships
In memory of Captain Francesco de Negri, ucciso dai nazifascisti nell’eccidio di Cefalonia, da oltre dodici anni EURIDIT assegna borse di studio a studenti volenterosi che si trovano in situazioni di
particular socio-economic hardship, o con situazioni di salute fisica o psichica precarie.
Lately the scholarship assignees are 80% girls and others 20% ragazzi.
In the last school year, have been assigned 17 borse di studio per l’importo di Euro 300.00 each. L’identificazione degli studenti assegnatari e il loro accompagnamento psico-sociale e scolastico vengono realizzati in stretta collaborazione con il personale scolastico del Liceo e con l’assistente sociale in loco.
The Italian cultural center “CAPITANO FRANCESCO DE NEGRI”
EURIDIT founded and supports in the Liceo Limamoulaye, from over 10 years, the Italian Cultural Center “CAPITANO FRANCESCO DE NEGRI”, to remember the figure and the values witnessed by Captain De Negri, killed in the massacre – historically well known – of Kefalonia.
To the vengeful and inhuman act suffered by the father, the daughter wanted to counteract an act of solidarity to remind young people of the value foundations defended by the Captain: the love of peace, for democracy and respect for the law.
Il Centro accoglie attualmente circa 50 studenti che hanno scelto la lingua italiana nel loro curriculum di studi e li sostiene nelle conoscenza della storia e della cultura italiane, comparing the values of the two countries, promoting solidarity among peoples.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATIONAL DISPERSION IN ITALY
Every year, at the end of the school year, the results of the "School for life" project are verified, which are then publicly presented through the National Conference against early school leaving. During the conference, the point was taken on early school leaving in Lombardy, in Italy and in Europe and reports on the project carried out, rewarding the commitment of the project participants with a scholarship.
TRAINING AND CONFERENCES
The EURIDIT Private Foundation promotes courses of training on: the European dimension in education; the Italian constitution in comparison with the EU Charter and the Charter of Human Rights; music as a universal language; civic education in a European and international dimension; the teaching of the Italian language and culture.
The Foundation also organizes, hosts and participates in conferences, seminars and webinars, in relation to the central themes for the mission of the Foundation.
